If your flight is affected by this change, then get in touch with Qantas/Jetstar or your travel agent. You will either get a refund, flight credit or can rebook your flight on available Hawaiian Airlines, Jetstar or Qantas flight.

Hawaiian only operates one A330 service per week during February and March. It features 18 Business Class (lie-flat seats) in a 2-2-2 layout, 36 economy comfort seats with a 36″ pitch, and 192 of the 31″ pitch standard economy seats both in a 2-4-2 configuration.

Hawaiian Airlines offers flights to other island destinations in Hawaii, as well as connections to 16 cities on the USA mainland.

Future Dreamliners

If it is a systemic error either mechanical or electronic, then this is a larger concern for the airlines that fly Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft. Let’s hope it isn’t. If it is, it will pile on the woes to Boeing’s existing stack.

My first International trip back in 1988 included a Hawaiian leg, so I have seen the airport – then open to the elements, no air conditioning. I’d love to visit Hawaii properly sometime, but probably not this year.
