COVID-19: Auckland – 3 day lockdown from midnight tonight (14 February)
Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand Prime Minister has just announced that Auckland will move to level 3 restrictions from 11.59pm tonight for 3 days, ’til midnight on Wednesday.
The lockdown has been called due to 3 new coronavirus cases – a couple plus daughter.
Level 3 means only essential personal movement for Auckland residents, along with physical distancing of 2 metres. Essential services like pharmacies and supermarkets will remain open, whereas gyms and libraries, and other public venues will close. Schools are also closed except for essential workers.
