VIRGIN AUSTRALIA: Status Boost promotion by invitation email

VIRGIN AUSTRALIA: Status Boost promotion by invitation email

This is an email-only promotion – you won’t find it on the Virgin Australia website. If you are a Virgin Australia Velocity member and email subscriber – check your emails. You can try this link as well, but be ready with your Velocity membership number. You may get rejected at that point for what appears to be a targeted promotion.

How it works

The ‘Status Boost’ is an allocation of additional Status Credits depending on how many flights you have booked and flown. The additional status credits remain the same irrespective of the class of travel or fare paid. In other words, booking in business will not get you more status credits.

You have until 28 March to take up/activate the offer.

How many Status Credits will I get?

You must book and travel on at least two flights to earn the bonus. More flights, and you get more, as set out below:

  • Fly 2 flights = 45 bonus Status Credits
  • Fly 3 flights = 65 bonus Status Credits
  • Fly 4 flights = 85 bonus Status Credits
  • Fly 5 flights = 105 bonus Status Credits
  • Fly 6+ flights = 125 bonus Status Credits

So the maximum you can earn is three return trips (6 flights) and 125 bonus Status Credits. Flying more will not get you more Bonus Status Credits.

You can activate the offer either online via the website or through the App.

The fine print

You might have to wait up to four weeks to see the Status Credits bonus appear in your account – so that’s after the promotion period.

The following flights do not qualify:

  • Reward seat bookings
  • Codeshare flights on partner airlines
  • Flights booked before you activate the offer

It also looks like Virgin Australia Business Flyer members are also receiving the offer.
