COVID-19: Queensland border shut for 2 more months

Annastacia Palaszczuk, Queensland’s Premier plans to keep her state closed to Victoria and New South Wales for another 2 months – that’s to just before Christmas under the states new COVID vaccine plan.
Queensland expects to reach 70% double vaccination around 19 November. Under the new plan, once that stage is met, people from hotspot locations who are fully vaccinated and have a negative COVID test (within 72 hours) will be able to enter the state, although they will still need to quarantine for 14 days at home after entering the state by air only. bleeeegh!
Once the state reaches 80 % double vaxxed – that’s expected around 17 December, then you can come in by road or air, and there is no quarantine requirement. You will need to be double vaxxed yourself, and be tested within 72 hours of entry
If the vaccination stages are met earlier than scheduled, then dates might be brought forward.
Oh yes, and the great unvaccinated don’t even get a mention, so forget about entering the state for the moment.

Well, I did predict this would happen soon, and it looks like they left it until the beginning of 2023 to make the announcements.
Well you can count me out of visiting until after 17 December, and even then I’m not sure I want to pay for a test, but will if I have to!
And fortress Western Australia’s border shut for at least another 6 months to keep out COVID infected people to protect our COVID FREE lifestyle FREE of restrictions.
