QANTAS: ‘Twice as Rewarding’ Double points and Status Credits promotion drops. Book by 2 March 2026

Well, we all knew it was coming, and I predicted it could be this week, a few days before the half-yearly financial results are announced, and here it is. Time to unearth that strategy, and book your flights to earn double Status Credits or Double Points. If you still need to plan your strategy, then head over here for some advice. Otherwise, here are the important terms of the Qantas ‘Twice as Rewarding’ promotion.

Registration essential

To take part in the promotion, Qantas Frequent Flyer members must register via the Qantas App or at qantas.com before booking. Registration is not automatic, and failing to activate the offer means you will not receive the bonus, even if you book within the eligible dates.

You must select either Double Qantas Points or Double Status Credits. Only one reward type can be chosen per member. If you change your mind during the promotion period, the final selection made before 11:59pm (AEDT) on 2 March 2026 will apply. You cannot change after the offer period.

Booking and travel dates

The booking window runs from 24 February 2026 to 2 March 2026 (AEDT). Flights must be booked during this period to qualify, regardless of when payment is made.

The eligible travel window runs from 3 March 2026 through to 12 February 2027. If you cancel your booking or change it to travel outside this period, the bonus will no longer apply.

Only new bookings qualify. Adding new segments to an existing booking made before 24 February 2026 will not be eligible. However, bookings made using Flight Credits issued prior to 24 February 2026 can qualify, provided the new booking itself is made during the offer period.

Gift vouchers are also eligible if redeemed during the booking window.

Eligible members and bookings

Your Qantas Frequent Flyer number must be recorded at the time of registration and booking to qualify. Any other passengers travelling on the same booking must register separately to receive the bonus.

Status Credits earned through this offer are not transferable. Public servants flying for Commonwealth-funded purposes, in line with government policy, do not qualify for this promotion. This is a new rule following an audit of federal government travel, which found a flurry of staff bookings (a 20% increase) during these promotions.

Bonus crediting

Bonus Qantas Points or Status Credits will be credited within 8 weeks of travel completion. Status Credits are deemed to be earned on the day of flight, not the day of crediting.

Bonus Status Credits earned through this offer count toward Lifetime Status. However, they do not count toward Loyalty Bonus thresholds, Platinum Bonus Rewards, Platinum One Bonus Rewards, or any Status Accelerator or Status Challenge requirements.

This offer cannot be combined with other Qantas Points or Status Credit promotions. If multiple offers apply to the same flight segment, Qantas will automatically apply the highest-value bonus available.

Eligible flights

To qualify for the promotion, flights must carry a QF flight number and be operated by Qantas. This includes both domestic and international services. Flights booked as part of a Qantas Holidays package are also eligible, provided the flight component meets the Qantas-operated requirement.

Some QantasLink services are included in the promotion. This covers flights operated by Alliance Airlines, National Jet, Airlink, Eastern Australia Airlines and Sunstate Airlines when marketed under a QF flight number.

Finnair-operated flights that are marketed by Qantas are also eligible.

Flights not eligible

Not all QF-coded flights qualify. Services operated by Jetstar (including Jetstar Japan), Emirates, American Airlines or any other partner airline that is not operated by Qantas are excluded from the promotion, even if they carry a QF flight number on the ticket.

How Double Points are calculated

If you choose Double Qantas Points, the bonus applies only to the base earn rate for the flight. You don’t get any bonus for your earning status. Any additional Status Bonus earned by Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum One members is not doubled under this offer.

The Minimum Points Guarantee, where applicable, still applies. Members can earn the bonus on multiple eligible bookings made during the offer period, provided each booking meets the criteria.

• You must register before booking.
• Only new bookings count.
• Jetstar and Emirates flights are NOT eligible.
• Bonus Status Credits don’t count toward Loyalty Bonus.
