Not actually me, but close enough t me with 'manflu' - also known as a cold

Hello travellers,

Sometimes, colds, are just the worst!

Last week I was nursing the sick.

This week, I have been being nursed, as the latest cold descended on me. Still, I made it to Adelaide by the end of the week for a couple of important family engagements and to see the incredible Tarnanthi exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

What happened last week?

Quite a lot really, but none reported on 2PAXfly.

Qantas confirmed it will make a decision on its 737-800 replacement in 2020. They also had a door ripped off an A380 - while it was departing a hanger after maintenance.

Virgin announced some route and schedule changes including dropping flights between Melbourne and Hong Kong - not a big surprise there given they needed to find planes to service the new Brisbane–Narita route, and Hong Kong is not a great destination currently.

And a few other things happened that I didn't report on.

What's coming up?

The cold (touch wood) has been headed off at the pass. So you should see a re-activation of 2PAXfly next week.

Wish there were posts to catch up on from last week below, but there aren't. Until this week . . .

Happy Travels,

2PAXfly

Sometimes, a Cold stops everything

By 2paxfly on Nov 10, 2019 05:55 pm

Sorry for my absence this week, but I have been taken hostage by a cold. Fortunately, it looks like ransom terms have been negotiated, involving a lot of Codral. I should be back at the helm next week.
