OUTAGE: Virgin Australia and rex check-in and boarding system crashes

The SMH is reporting that the system outage has affected flights departing from 4:30pm across the country

Both airlines have had to switch to manual methods of check-in across Australia, which is causing delays.

Virgin has confirmed that the global outage has been resolved.

If you are departing today or early tomorrow – check with the airline (Virgin or Rex) and confirm that your flight is OK.

The ABC News site is reporting that passengers are experiencing long delays boarding, or stuck on the plane once boarded.
