Velocity: Ola gets you more points for greater status

In a slapdown to the recent changes to the Qantas and Uber arrangement, Velocity – Virgin Australia’s Frequent Flyer scheme is offering points of Ola rides, increasing according to your status with Velocity.

You get:

• 2 for each AU$ if you are Velocity Red
• 3 for each AU$ if you are Velocity Silver
• 3.5 for each AU$ if you are Velocity Gold
• 4 for each AU$ if you are Velocity Platinum

That’s for rides too and from the airport. For other rides, its back to 1 point per AU$.

As an additional incentive, you get a 1,000 points on your first ride if you are new to Ola, and 30% off your rides for the first 2 weeks from sign up.
