You can now leave Sydney on 4 daily A380 Emirates flights

From 25 March 2018 Emirates will add a 4th daily A380 service out of Sydney travelling to their Dubai hub.

Essentially this is a replacement for the Qantas A380 flights to London via Dubai, that are now being rerouted via Singapore – to much acclaim. (Yay!)

Emirates are hailing this as building on their partnership with Qantas – although that is at least half PR spin.

The timings are very similar to the old QF1 and QF2 flights (to go via Singapore in 2018)

The new services will be:

  • EK416 Dubai to Sydney 20:40 – 17:20 (16:30 from 31 March 2018)
  • EK417 Sydney to Dubai 17:05 – 16:30+1 (16:15 departure from 1st April)

The slight time changes are caused by the cessation of Australian Eastern Summer Time (Daylight Saving).

The Emirates A380 will offer 14 private suites in First Class, 76 flat-bed seats in Business Class and 399 Economy seats.
